Leslie Potter

I am currently a staff photographer for US Equestrian, where I get to photograph a wide variety of horses and equestrian sports, ranging from the walk-and-trot classes at national breed shows to Olympic athletes on the world stage. Prior to taking my current role at USEF, I was on staff at Horse Illustrated and Young Rider magazines from 2008 through 2019, where I learned how to shoot editorial photos for training and horse care how-tos as well as capturing the beauty of different horse breeds at liberty and at work. As a freelancer, I specialize in editorial photography and horse-and-human portraits. I am occasionally available for competition photography and enjoy shooting schooling shows and local events as well as canine portraits and dog sports.
