What came first for me-the horses or the photography? I'm quick to (semi-jokingly) admit that I sometimes feel I know just a little about photography, but I do know how to look at a horse. I work primarily as an equine event photographer, and due to my personal equine experience my niche is stock horse breeds. Touching on what I consider to be one of my true talents, writing, my horse show photography goes a step beyond the standard shots for each class. I shoot in an almost journalistic style that captures the energy and emotion of show day, with a mixture of candid, artistic, and industry standard shots. My portrait work retains that same style, immortalizing the relationship between horse and owner through both candid and posed imagery. Whether working as an official photographer or simply snapping sale photos at a farm call, I pride myself on providing excellent customer service and developing real relationships with my clients.
