Jacob Kielbus

Jake is a Landscape, Wildlife and Nature Photographer specializing in Equine Photography. He crafted his Equine Photographic Art experiencing a symbiotic relationship with a herd of 65+ horses over a 9 year period, all while working for a historic Ranch in the Crazy Mountains of Montana. Always fascinated by the subtle line between perception and reality, Jake is neither a realist nor surrealist, but searches for a strong connection between both the physical and spiritual nature of the experience; capturing a subjects place within a larger natural order. He hopes that people will see his photography for more than the 'aesthetics of the photograph', but for the transcending connection his subject has with its simplistic environment, which he likes to call "A Spiritual Epiphany". Jake sells his work as Fine Art Prints across the globe as well as leading Horse & Landscape Photography Workshops in the Crazy Mountains of Montana at his beloved Sweet Grass Dude Ranch. Now a resident of Bournemouth, England he spends much of his time capturing the ponies of the New Forest National Park in Hampshire, where he is looking to lead Horse Workshops there as well in the near future. His main concentration and sole purpose with the camera will always be to capture remote wild places and tell the story of humility through his subject, whether it be a horse, landscape, wild animal, or even our galaxy the Milky Way.
