Louise Sedgman

Well, what can I say about myself? I'm a mum of two beautiful girls, a wife, a businesswoman, a daughter, a horsewoman, and slightly creative nut living in Drouin, Victoria, Australia. I could draw horses before I could write my name and I got my first pony at age 5 and I've had horses in my life ever since. I used to draw them in pastel. My mum bought my first SLR camera when I was in my early 20's, so I could take my own images to draw. I fell in LOVE with photography! Ive spent the last 26 years or so building my skills and perfecting my craft to become who I am today. My favorite thing in the whole world is to capture the connection women and children have with their horse. It's beautiful. It's inspiring and I just LOVE it. I also love real photographs. Photos that will be around long after we are gone. Beautiful photographs that can be handed down as family heirlooms for generations. Thats what photography is all about. I'm REALLY passionate about what I do and was pretty chuffed to become an accredited member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers in early 2015. It was a tough gig, but that made it even more worthwhile. And in 2018, I won the AIPP Victorian pet/Animal professional photographer of the year award in Australia. That is definitely one of my greatest photographic achievements to date. My Other Passion I also LOVE to teach photography, so i run photographic workshops and tutoring in and around Australia for enthusiast photographers.
