Jody Miller
"From Equine Photography to Stock Photos of Cowboy Life to portraits of you, your family, your animal companions...
Arizona photographer Jody Miller, of MillersReflections, takes her place among the finest Arizona photographers to offer stock images specializing in horse photos, cowboy and cowgirl pictures, and Western photography. Along with engaging and evocative horse portraits, her stock images include barrel-racing cowgirls, cowboys at rest or charging their mounts through a shallow Western river, and the gear and details of the lives of cowboys and cowgirls—every stock photo image you could want of the Western ranch lifestyle, set in wide-open landscapes of big sky, golden grasses, weathered board buildings, cactus and craggy boulders.
Jody's love of horses led her to spend a number of years on a working horse ranch in the California desert. She says, "I have loved horses ever since I was a teenager. They are majestic, powerful, glorious animals that love to perform and show off their beauty. I enjoy the challenge of capturing that special connection people have with their animals." This appreciation inspired her to begin making horse portraits. Ever since, she has honed her craft as a photographer, developed an ever-keener eye for the striking image, and built her stock photography portfolio. A few years back Jody made the switch from film to digital photography. The change has resulted in increased quality and faster service, including quick proofing on the web.
Jody came to Arizona, like so many Arizona photographers, to leave the rat race behind, to revel in the visual beauty of open space, and to devote herself to equine photography in the incomparable desert light. Jody's images have been published in Horse and Rider, Western Horseman, The Horse Connection, the 2004 Ruger Sportswear Catalog, and Today’s Horse. "
