I am retired pharmacist that has been doing photography for about 16 years now. I consider myself an advanced amateur. I do not actively try to sell my work except on an occasional venue.

In the past I have focused more on landscape and macro photography but since several of members of a small photography group that I am in do equine photography and have horses, I have expanded my interest into equine photography. I think horses make such wonderful subjects. There interaction with humans has always fascinated me.

Not sure where to put my comfort level for critiques but I don't want brutal critiquing. However I think honest, kind critiques are necessary if I want to get better. I realize that often critiquing can be personal preference but I will appreciate good honest constructive critiquing with the goal to make me a better photographer. If I decide that I disagree, then I can always do that.

I use Nikon equipment and have upgraded to a D700 recently. My D300 remains as my backup system.
