Equine Photography Tours and Workshops
with Katarzyna Okrzesik-Mikolajek

2018 Tours in Poland, Canada, Great Britain, Camargue and Spain

Multi-award winning equine photographer Katarzyna invites you to join her for travels across the equine world! The main purpose of her tours is to share with fellow photographers some of the best places to photograph horses in the most spectacular locations. Her main objective is to provide opportunities to photograph herds of horses at liberty with natural backdrops, stallions in action, equine portraits in historical sites, and horses with riders in their traditional attire. She takes great care in selection of best quality horses. Location and lighting are for her as important as the horse itself!

Participation in her intensive tours is a great opportunity to build your own portfolio and to improve your photography skills through the many opportunities which she will provide. You will travel in very small groups, and welcome both amateur and professional photographers.

If you feel you are missing some skills while photographing horses, Katarzyna's workshops are just for you! The workshop's intensive four-day program will provide an equine photography masterclass, various photo-shoots and post-processing classes, combined with a pleasant atmosphere and lots of fun. Katarzyna will help you obtain all of the necessary skills to take amazing equine portraits and action-shots. She covers everything from the basics to advanced topics and shares with you the most useful tricks, tips and skills and help you make your photography better than ever.

The workshop will take place at Montgomery Creek Ranch (MCR). A 2000 acre wild horse sanctuary and wildlife preserve located near Elk Creek, nestled in the hills of Northern CA. Over 200 wild horses run free in a landscape of long valleys, rolling hills, and digger pines.

This four-day workshop will be guided by MCR founder Ellie Phipps Price and photographer Tara Arrowood. We will cover the entire creative process from observing light, shooting, editing and post production workflow.

Montgomery Creek Ranch is a Wild Horse Sanctuary in Northern CA dedicated to raising awareness about America's wild horses and burros and providing a place where people and horses connect.

High Sierra on Horseback
July 23rd - July 27th, 2018 - Adobe Valley (near Bishop, Calfornia)

Get ready for 5 days of intensive photography education, inspiration and practice in the heart of the spectacular Sierra Nevada! Our destination is Pioneer Basin, one of the most scenic settings in what John Muir aptly named The Range of Light. Truly a photographer's paradise, this remote location is not easy to access. Fortunately, our equine companions will help us with the heavy lifting as we ride into this stunning alpine environment. Alpenglow, Golden Hour, Blue Hour…these are the conditions that produce portfolio images. Therefore, our days will start early and end late but there will be plenty of time in between to explore or just soak in your surroundings and appreciate the unspoiled beauty of true wilderness. Your level of photography experience is not as important as your desire to grow your image making abilities.
