Wild Horse Photo Safari in Northern California
October 19th - 22nd, 2017

The workshop will take place at Montgomery Creek Ranch (MCR). A 2000 acre wild horse sanctuary and wildlife preserve located near Elk Creek, nestled in the hills of Northern CA. Over 200 wild horses run free in a landscape of long valleys, rolling hills, and digger pines.

Photo by Tara ArrowoodThis four-day workshop will be guided by MCR founder Ellie Phipps Price and photographer Tara Arrowood. We will cover the entire creative process from observing light, shooting, editing and post production workflow.

Montgomery Creek Ranch is a Wild Horse Sanctuary in Northern CA dedicated to raising awareness about America's wild horses and burros and providing a place where people and horses connect.

Picture Perfect Equines with Tamara Gooch

Three incredibly trained Friesian stallions; Nitrous, Pordigy and Dolci Vita, the equine stars of the movie Albion - The Enchanted Stallion will be at our disposal. Their beauty, power and charisma will fuel your inspiration. In addition to the Friesians we will also be photographing a couple of Andalusians and other various breeds to round out the workshop.

We will visit Sintra, Evora, Castelo de Ourem, Obidos and Tomar. We will spend 2 days at Golega, the famous horse fair and visit the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art.
