Fall Workshops
Vermont and Texas Workshops

In October a small group gathered in Vermont to enjoy the stunning foliage and scenery as well as beautiful horses and models. The weather and color were at their best and photographers enjoyed a full day of photography at Denny Emerson's Tamarack Hill Farm and additional shoots with a variety of horses and models. The workshop ended in South Woodstock with the group photographing the North Country Hounds Hunt.

EPNet Workshop in Texas

In November we hosted photographers for the Essentials of Equine Photography Techniques with Scott Trees in the Fort Worth, Texas area. We were treated to lovely models with an Andalusian and a Friesian at the beautiful Chandor Gardens and shoots at some of the area's top Arabian facilities.

See photos from these workshops.

EPNet photo workshops bring together horse loving photographers from around the world for photography fun, fellowship and inspiration. We invite you to join us for one of our many upcoming events in 2014! Bookmark our events page.

Photo by Karen BayerlAll Photographers are invited to participate in our
Annual Horses in Need Project.
Deadline for the 2013 stories is January 25th.

Equine Photographers are able to capture many lovely moments with cherished and healthy horses, but there are many that are not so lucky. In an effort to give back we invite all photographers to help horses in need by documenting their conditions and the people who work with them.

The mission of this project is to shine a light on the condition of horses in need around the world, and the work that individuals, rescues and other organizations are doing to save them from uncertain futures.

Learn more about this year's project. See photos from last year's project. EPNet also maintains a list of photographers volunteering their services to rescue groups and horses in need.

We were sorry to hear of the passing of equine photographer Shawn McMillen recently. Shawn was a vocal voice and writer for the rights of equine photographers and wrote an excellent article regarding the state of the equine photography industry in 2011 that is even more relevant today. Our condolences go out to his family.
